The Greenville Seventh-day Adventist Church is a multi-cultural family of grace, serving the citizens of Pitt and the surrounding counties in North Carolina. It is a sister church of the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church has been a part of the Greenville North Carolina community since the 1930's.
The members of our church also operate Brookhaven Seventh-day Adventisit Christian School, consisting of a pre-K through 8th grade program which has operated continuously for the past 52 years. The school recently received a full five (5) year accreditation the highest possible rating given by the accreditation committee, and received numerous commendations. With an enrollment of more than twenty students, and a staff of three (3), the teacher to student ratio is outstanding.
In the early 1950s, the members built a church building on 10th street in Greenville. This building served the church, and later school, for almost 50 years, but due to the church's growth and parking issues, they chose to purchase more land and relocate their facility. In April of 2000, construction was completed on a new school building, including classrooms and a gymnasium, on a 10-acre parcel of land in the suburb of Winterville. Because of their great interest in Christian education, our church chose to build the school first, and are currently meeting in the gymnasium. However, plans are underway for a new multi-million dollar worship center.
As mentioned earlier, the our church is a multi-cultural family with 30 different countries represented in its membership. It is also one of the fastest growing churches in the Carolina Conference with a current membership of over 270 precious souls. In addition, the Greenville members spawned a Spanish Speaking congregation, and are also fostering a Group in Robersonville, NC.
The Greenville Seventh-day Adventist Church is a church dedicated to Christ and His mission, and to building each other up through unity and commitment. We are warm and welcoming, and invite you to worship the Creator of the universe together with us any time just as you are!
